How do I purchase handicap accessible seating?ADA seating is available through ticketmaster.com. Use the ADA filter on the ticketmaster website to find and locate these tickets. ADA tickets are sold on a first come first serve basis. ADA is limited so please limit to one ticket if possible. The balcony at the Johnny Mercer Theatre is not handicap accessible and anyone unable to walk up stairs should purchase a ticket in the orchestra.

What is required when I attend an event?Each guest attending a ticketed event must have their ticket or proper event credentials. If you are picking your tickets up at Will Call, you must provide a valid driver’s license or photo I.D. along with the credit card used to purchase the tickets. The name on the photo I.D. must match the name on the order.

Can I sit somewhere other than my ticketed seat?All guests must sit in the location designated on their ticket by section, row, and seat number. Only one person is allowed to occupy a seat unless you have a child under the age of 2. Standing on chairs, rails, and the middle of the aisle is prohibited.

What if I need a listening device or wheel chair?Guests will need to bring a proper form of identification to exchange for listening devices. We do not issue wheelchairs.

Do I need to present an I.D. to make a purchase with a Credit or Debit Card?Yes, if purchasing with a Credit or Debit card you must present a matching I.D. at the time of your order. Please note that the I.D., Credit Card and individual must all match; you may not use anyone else’s card but your own to include spouse’s, business partners, friends or relatives. Gift cards with no name present are also not accepted for use at our facilities.

What do I need to purchase an alcoholic beverage?Guests 21 years of age or older may purchase alcoholic beverages at the Civic Center. You must provide proper identification to receive a wristband that will allow you to purchase alcohol. All persons with an alcoholic beverage in hand must have on a wristband.

Can I distribute flyers or sell t-shirts after an event?Guests may not sell food, beverages, souvenirs or programs in or on the Civic Center property. Guests will not vend, solicit, distribute, or collect contributions of any kind for any purpose on the premises.

Is smoking allowed?Smoking of any kind is prohibited inside the building by all patrons and employees. There is no re-entry to go out and smoke during events.

Can I bring my service animal?Every person with a disability has the right to be accompanied by a service animal trained to assist the person with his or her specific disability. Service animals must remain on a leash or in a harness at all times. Service animals will rest in the seating area of the person with the disability rather than the aisle. If the service animal poses as a threat to the safety of other patrons, the patron and service animal may be escorted off the property. No other animals are allowed.

Can I go to my car to get something and come back?All exits of the Civic Center are final and re-entry will not be allowed. Exceptions are only made in the case of emergencies. In an emergency situation, guests should make contact with an Event Supervisor to make arrangements for re-entry.

Will security look into my purse?All guests entering the building are subject to inspection conducted by venue staff. The purpose of an inspection is to ensure the safety of our guests by keeping prohibited items from entering the venue.

Prohibited items include:For the safety of our guests, the Savannah Civic Center does not permit the following items during events. Prohibited Items: * Clutches must be 4.5” x 6.5 x 2” or smaller. Bags above this size MUST BE CLEAR and no larger than 14” x 14” x 6”, 2 pocket maximum. Diaper bags and medical bags are permitted but are subject to search. * We do offer a bag check for that is available if you happen to bring a bag that is not allowed in. The back will be held until the end of the show. The bag check fee is $10 and is CASH ONLY * Professional cameras, detachable lenses or external flash units, or recording equipment (aside from smartphones) for audio, image, or video recording purposes * Selfie sticks or telescopic devices, including tripods or camera poles * Glass containers and cans * Food & beverage or outside alcohol * Cigarettes, cigars, or any type of e-cigarettes, or tobacco products of any kind * Items intended to create optical distraction or illusion including flags, banners, or signs larger than 36” x 24” * Weapons including guns, firearms, knives of any size, stunguns/tasers, bats, or poles * Explosives including fireworks * Hazardous items including fuels, torches, chemicals, batteries, or aerosols (including pepper spray/gel) * Tools, razor blades, scissors * Skateboards, scooters, roller shoes, one wheels segways * Animals unless a service animal, as defined by the American Disabilities Act * Sealed packages of any kind * Noisemaking devices of any kind including whistles, air horns, vuvuzelas, and cow bells * Drones or other model aircrafts * Frisbees, beach balls, inflatables, or other projectiles * Laser pointing devices or flashlights * Laptops, iPads, tablets

What is the camera/recording policy?It is at the discretion of the event if cameras and/or audio recording will be allowed. Most events allow still photography, non-professional cameras with no flash. Tickets takers and security will inform you of the camera policy when you arrive. The facility will not be responsible for holding cameras until the end of the show. Prohibited cameras and/or audio recording will have to be returned to your vehicle prior to the show.

What time do doors open?Doors to the lobby will open 1 hour prior to the show. Doors to the performance/seats open at varying times based on each show.

Is there a lost and found?All items lost and found during an event will be returned the event staff and placed in our security office located in the lobby beside the Johnny Mercer Theatre. Contact event staff during the event or after the event by calling (912) 651-6550. The Savannah Civic Center is not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged property.

Where do I park for an event? Do you have handicap parking?The Civic Center has event parking in our parking lot located off Liberty Street, but it is subject to a flat rate fee (cash only) and may not be available for all events. Ticket Refunds/ExchangesWe recommend that you carefully check your order before proceeding with the payment. No exchanges or refunds will be accepted following your purchase. In the rare case that a refund is issued, tickets must be returned or exchanged through the original point of purchase.
